As the newest addition to the VMC team, Dr. Niqole Varani brings tremendous expertise in veterinary medicine as well as practice management. She has extensive experience as a veterinarian, and her passion for improving client relations, hospital efficiency, and business profitability catapulted her career into management. Dr. Varani has used these skills to direct both specialty and emergency veterinary startups toward success. Likewise, at established practices, she earned a track record of implementing changes that resulted in significant business growth. Before joining VMC, she was a veterinary hospital administrator and led a 24/7 specialty hospital to the peak of its growth, with a combined staff of nearly 100 doctors and support professionals.
Dr. Varani earned multiple bachelor's degrees—in biology, philosophy, and Spanish—from Marquette University before going on to earn her doctorate of veterinary medicine from the University of Wisconsin Madison School of Veterinary Medicine. In 2017 she became a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) and is an active member of the AVMA, WVMA, FVMA, and VHMA. She enjoys field research work, and her writings have appeared in professional journals including Medical Mycology as well as community publications such as Florida Weekly. She has volunteered her veterinary services within the United States and around the world for organizations including Remote Area Veterinary Services, Christian Veterinary Mission, Campaña de Esterilizacion Telchac Puerto, and multiple regional humane societies.
Dr. Varani is excited to be a part of the VMC team and to have the opportunity to help other veterinary practices grow and prosper.
